What form of treatment is the best for me?

This is something we discuss when you come to an introductory consultation, I will give a recommendation, you decide.

What if I can’t relax/ or be hypnotised?

If you want to be hypnotised you can be. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis and that means it really does happen to the extent that you allow it to happen.

How do I know that I’m hypnotised, how does it feel?

There is no such thing as a hypnotised feeling and you may simply feel very deeply relaxed and/or disinclined to move. It is a very “normal” experience and as you would go in and out of hypnotic trances every day you may not notice anything different.

Will I be asleep while in hypnosis?

No, you won’t. You are in a state of deep relaxation. You are aware of everything around you while your attention is turned inwards.

Can I be influenced to do anything against my will?

No you can’t because you are in charge of the process, the hypnotherapist has no control over you at all.

Will I be able to speak while in hypnosis?

Yes, you can easily relate your thoughts and experiences while in hypnosis.

Does it affect any other treatments that I may be having?

No, because this form of therapy is without side effects, I won’t have any negative influence on anything else that you are doing.
